Quick Summary

Off the backs of RBs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, Notre Dame struggled at times throughout the first half. For the better part of the second half, Notre Dame had their lead questioned by USC. Christian Gray struggled throughout the game, drawing two pass interference penalties and giving up several big plays through the air, but ultimately came to the call when he was needed most, and took an interception to the house for a 99-yard touchdown. Shortly after, Xavier Watts challenged Gray's record-tying interception and got one of his own, returning it 100 yards for a touchdown to put the nail in the coffin for the game. Despite 100 yards less of total offense compared to USC, Notre Dame's late defensive performance led to Notre Dame beating rival USC by two scores.

Below are all the stats you need to know for an all-time classic in Notre Dame and USC's historic rivalry. The Irish are feeling good about keeping the Jeweled Shillelagh, but also feel good about getting their first win on USC's home turf since 2018, when they beat USC 24-17 and ultimately punched their ticket to the 2018 College Football Playoff, their first ever. The Irish are all but certain to be particpants in the upcoming College Football Playoffs.
