Finley is the son of former NFL star Tight End and Super Bowl XLVI Champion Jermichael Finley. Kaydon, a 6’2", 195lbs WR out of Aledo High School in Aledo, Texas, is a star in his own right and one of the top WRs in the nation. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 110 overall recruit nationally, and the No. 14 overall wide receiver in the country.

Finley, a speedy wide receiver who runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, hauled in 81 receptions for 1,432 yards and 21 touchdowns in his junior season at Aledo High School. He averaged 17.7 yards per reception and 102.3 yards per game, with his longest catch on the season going for 91 yards. He joins Bubba Frazier, a 4-star WR out of Benedictine Academy in Savannah, Georgia, and Dylan Faison, a 3-star WR out of St Andrew’s High School in Boca Raton, Florida, as the current wide receiver commits for Notre Dame in the 2026 class.

Before committing to the Irish today, Finley held 31 D1 Offers from such notable schools as Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, and Notre Dame, among others. This is a huge recruiting victory for WR Coach Mike Brown and the Notre Dame staff that adds even more star power to an already loaded class.
