Notre Dame reached into its backyard of Chicago to secure its newest commitment, LB Roman Igwebuike, who announced his pledge to the Irish on Saturday afternoon.

OL Albert Simien announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Friday morning live on SportsCenter, giving the Irish a huge recruiting win in the SEC’s backyard.

Notre Dame, Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock, and QB Coach Gino Guidugli secured a commitment from QB Trey Tagliaferri, locking down a potential recruiting leader for the Irish’s 2028 class at a key position.

After reclassifying from 2028 to 2027, DL Segun Alexander saw his recruitment speed up, and it was Notre Dame earning his commitment today.
