On July 28th, Notre Dame Athletics struck a jersey patch deal with finance company SoFi Technologies. The multiyear partnership, rumored to be in the neighborhood of $18 million-$20 million, will be the most valuable patch deal in college sports, according to ESPN.

On Tuesday, the University of Notre Dame and SoFi Technologies announced a multi-year collaboration.

With the spring portal opening up, Notre Dame is destined to lose some players to the portal because of the depth across the roster. While seeing promising players leave hurts, its indicative of Notre Dame's biggest asset.

Notre Dame was bolstered by the depth of their roster last year, a concept that will vanish in the new era of NIL and the transfer portal.
