Notre Dame finally notched their first win of the 2025 season, but it did not come without some moments of "here we go again" defensively. The Irish defense gave up 30 points to an improved Purdue Boilermakers team, and will now have to turn their attention to an unfamiliar foe when they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

It is no secret that the Notre Dame defense has severely struggled to start the season, especially the secondary. Christian Gray is a big part of that secondary, and like the rest of his unit, Gray needs to improve quickly if Notre Dame wants to right their wrongs.
