Notre Dame’s trio of Hannah Hidalgo, Iyana Moore, and Cassandre Prosper outscored Pitt by themselves with a combined 71 points. Hidalgo led the way offensively with another 30-point outing when her three-point shot was not falling. Prosper forced eight Pitt turnovers as she clamped the Panthers on the perimeter and down low, all while contributing 18 points on an efficient shooting night.

Coach Micah Shrewsberry and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish seem to be locked in, even following the recent loss of Markus Burton, with ACC play right around the corner. The Irish extended their winning streak to four games this Saturday with a fairly dominant 82-58 win at home against the Evansville Purple Aces.

After yesterday’s loss to Kansas, it was apparent that team rebounding was an emphasis today, with four Irish players snagging at least four boards today, as they out-rebounded Rutgers 37-28.

Notre Dame Men’s Basketball kicked off year three of the Micah Shrewsberry era with an 89-67 win over the LIU Sharks in Purcell Pavilion. Markus Burton and Cole Certa combined for 46 points in a game where the Irish shot over 50% from three and never trailed.

On Tuesday, Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua announced the hiring of former Irish basketball alum Pat Garrity ‘98 as General Manager of the Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs. Additionally, he will serve as the Men’s Primary Administrator.
