Notre Dame finally notched their first win of the 2025 season, but it did not come without some moments of "here we go again" defensively. The Irish defense gave up 30 points to an improved Purdue Boilermakers team, and will now have to turn their attention to an unfamiliar foe when they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

When Notre Dame announced the hiring of Chris Ash, many Irish fans were underwhelmed; however, the trust Marcus Freeman earned during last season’s CFP run was enough to overlook the move at the time.
